LOVE. HOPE. JOY.

Sharon Ehrlich. Founder of The Every Kid Is Special Project. With a few of the forces of love who brought it to life. At Cura Home, Kenya.

My name is Sharon Ehrlich. I’m a writer, creative director, and founder of a small advertising shop in Montréal and NYC. My soul is dedicated to making the world a better place through creativity and spreading the power of self-love, compassion, and joy.

My mom was adopted and grew up in Kenya after losing her parents in the holocaust. For her 65th birthday I joined her on an epic return to her East African childhood. On that trip my heart found Cura, a home for kids who lost their parents to AIDS.

My mom and Cura’s kids are embodiments of courage and love. Their stories are the inspiration behind this project. They are proof that even though life can deal us traumatic devastation from genocide to poverty to disease to neglect and abuse, and sadly, on and on, still, we can persevere and rise. And no matter what we endure, we can learn to love ourselves and others and become beacons of light and hope. And most importantly, that our chances of being able to do just that increase when we are shown that we are special, lovable, and loved.

I deeply believe that the more we nurture every single kid on the planet by showing them their own value, potential, and unique beauty and intelligence, no matter what their circumstance, the more gentle, loving, and tolerant, all of humanity will become.

This project kicks off a mission for all of us to show as many kids in the world as possible that they are special and loved. It starts with the sale of The Every Kid Is Special Project book to spread the word and help fund the mission. And invites you to show every kid you can they are special.

Please help us symbolically represent our mission by helping all the kids you know create their own #IAMSPECIALPROJECT post on Instagram. And follow @theeverykidisspecialproject so we can watch our feed and mission grow as together we make our world a more loving place, one outstandingly special kid at a time.
